The triangle trend is going strong--it's a great shape that lends itself well to a mod card like this one!
I really wanted to play with my embossing paste, which I haven't used in awhile. To get a multi-colored effect, I stuck with the Translucent paste so the ink colors beneath would show through. You CAN custom tint your embossing pastes by adding a drop of reinker and mixing it quickly on your non-stick craft sheet. You can add more reinker to intensify the color, as you wish. I recommend mixing a small amount at a time to avoid waste, unless you have an air-tight container handy to scoop up what you don't use and save for later use.
The thicker weight of Neenah's 110# card stock is awesome for embossing paste because it warps much less, if at all, in comparison to thinner weights.
For in depth/detailed information about working with embossing pastes, please refer to this In Touch newsletter article: Texture & Dimension with Embossing Pastes.
NOTE: Although the opaque white embossing paste dries to a soft/sponge-like texture, the Translucent paste dries "rock" hard, so you may want to trim your panel down to size prior to applying it, as cutting through it can be a bit tricky.
While the paste was still wet, I showered it with sparkly Prisma glitter--I wish the camera could pick up just how cool it looks!
Be sure to clean your stencil and palette knife quickly after applying embossing pastes--I keep a dishpan with soapy water handy to toss the stencil in for easy scrubbing later, and I wipe the palette knife clean with a baby wipe the instant I'm finished.
