I love nothing more than creating dimensional projects using die cuts and thought it would be especially fun to create a scene using the Color Trend palette below. I used several shades of Bazzill Card Shoppe Cardstock and a few different die sets (all linked below) and came up with this pretty garden birdhouse scene.
I started by cutting the tree frame, birdhouse, grass layers, flowers, foliage and birds to create my scene.
I used the leafy foliage pieces to extend and fill in the tree branches and attached them using glossy accents.
I applied thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame along with grass layers and attached to the card base.
Grass borders were attached to the front of the frame using double stick tape.
I used my stylus and molding pad to form the tiny flowers.
I attached the birdhouse to the card base using mounting tape and attached flowers to the grass border using glossy accents.
I tucked several pieces of flower covered foliage in behind the grass borders and tree and attached in place using glossy accents. Tiny birds were attached to the house and tree branches using rolled up glue dots.
I highlighted the colorful flower centers with tiny drops of white pre-made Nuvo Crustal Drops attached with glossy accents. I finished by adding tiny pieces of foliage, a flower and an additional bird to the birdhouse.
Thanks for stopping by the Classroom today and I hope you enjoyed seeing my colorful scene.
