Hello, all! Today I'm here with a sneak peek of an upcoming set called Arctic Pals (releasing January 7th).
There are a couple of penguins in the set and this one was just begging to be made into a penny spinner/slider type project!

TIPS:
- Use the direct to paper inking method to create a unique oceanic effect. Heat setting prior to die cutting will reduce or eliminate ink transfer to the dies and cutting pads.
- Plan your layout by determining where the recipient will most likely hold the card and tilt it from side to side for the spinning effect.
- Save the die cut semi-circle piece to mount behind the track to maintain the uniformity of the background.
- Mount the front layer with double layers of foam tape to provide clearance for the spinning piece to roll smoothly along the track. Avoid placing foam adhesive where it will impede the movement of the spinner along the track.
- Use 1/2" punched out circles and a round MFT Replenishment (linked below in supplies) to create your "penny" spinner mechanism--this works great if the image is too small for traditional pennies to be concealed.
- Apply Glitter Glues last and allow it to dry. It's tempting to play with it immediately, but trust me when I say a little patience will avoid smearing... ;)
Hope you enjoyed this project and will keep your eyes peeled for the latest Essentials by Ellen Release, coming Jan 7th!
Happy Mundane!
