You can take a very simple die cut and give it a "layered" look by mounting different colors of card stock together and die cutting through the layers at the same time. If you don't have the exact color of card stock you need, you can fake it using Copic markers!

TIPS:
- Copic markers work great for this because the alcohol evaporates quickly and the ink does not pill the paper surface. Alternatively, you could try brayering dye based inks over card stock to achieve an even coating.
- Try not to mount more thicknesses than two layers of card stock; if your layers are too thick, low profile dies have trouble cutting all the way through.
- It may take several passes or the addition of a metal shim in order to cut through both layers of card stock; this technique tends to work best with simple die shapes, as opposed to intricate/detailed shapes.
