Hey everyone! Welcome to day 5 of the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Today is all about snow. There are a lot of different ways to create snowy effects, from embossing powder to glitter, sequins to liquid appliqué...the possibilities really are endless.
Today I'm going to focus on creating a snowy effect using puff embossing powder. I thought it would be fun to create a snowy effect on top of a die cut, kind of like the snow had fallen and accumulated there. I live in California, so I'm not quite sure I know exactly how snow works...but I'm going to give it a good college try. ;) (Yes, I've seen snow.)
I'll be using several new products from Pretty Pink Posh. I just love their newest holiday products and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. I'll be using the Holiday Greetings stamp set, as well as the Festive Holly and Merry Christmas Script die sets. And what would a tag featuring Pretty Pink Posh be without some super sparkly things too? I'll be using the Sparkling Clear Snowflakes and 3mm Sparkling Clear Sequins on my tag as well. I've linked all of these fabulous supplies below.
I experimented quite a bit to get the effect I was going for on this tag. I'll walk you through all of this in the video tutorial below...and tell you a thing or two that I learned along the way. Be sure to check it out.
