Hi! It's Carly and I'm thrilled to be here for the annual 12 Tags of Christmas! It's day 12 and I'm here with my amazing partner Kelly Marie Alvarez! I've been lucky enough to be partners with Kelly three years in a row and she always wows me with her cute Lawn Fawn creations!
Today we are both bringing you some interactive tags because things that swing, slide, shake and open are just fun!!! I'm a little obsessed with the Lawn Fawn die, Shut The Front Door so I wanted to create a little house tag...
To create my little welcoming party, I used one of my favorite stamping techniques - masking!
On a piece of solar white, I traced around the die just to have an approximation of where my critters should go.
I made masks for all my critters and then stamped away! I included a bunch of my Lawn Fawn favs like the Yeti and Gingerbread man, and also a few Essentials by Ellen loveys, like the All Inside Bear and Bear Ware 2 Kitty.
Then I colored my critters with Copics.
I die cut my door from a panel that I applied Distress Ink Abandoned Coral. Then I used Be Creative tape to adhere my door over my critter panel, trimming off the excess.
My little house is just a rectangle and triangle cut from cardstock and colored with Distress Ink.
We are delighted to have Kelly Marie Alvarez, owner of Lawn Fawn, join us again this year! We adore Kelly's bright, cheerful style and we think she is just the nicest too!!! You can find more of Kelly's adorable creations on the Lawn Fawn blog. And wait until you see Kelly's tag, the bear skates & slides as the tag moves!!! Kelly is a creative genius!
