Today we are thrilled to welcome our friend Cindi from Flora & Fauna! Cindi is inspiring us with ways to use the Pantone Resourceful color palette in holiday cards, featuring some of the adorable new Flora & Fauna products!
Good Morning! Cindi here from Flora & Fauna to share a couple cards that were inspired by the Pantone Resourceful palette & Ellen's beautiful inspiration badge...
We have several new sets from our holiday release but I loved all of the shades of blue from the trend list and ended up using our Arctic stencil and Cozy Cuddles Penguin set to create an arctic scene.
We love background patterns and using our stencil with a darker color makes the pattern pop on the card. The polar bear is die cut in white felt and I added the scarf from our winter accessories die. We also love to use glitter and I brushed rubber cement and sprinkled the loose glitter over the glue for the snow hill. Rubber cement is old school but one tip is that you can brush it over stamped images on a card and it doesn’t smear the ink. We love that trick!
The blue trees coordinate with the palette and are a fun change to the typical green. A couple of them are mounted to give the trees some dimension to the card along with the polar bear and penguin. The penguin is actually on a wobble but it’s hard to tell from the photo.
Many thanks to Ellen and crew for inviting me to guest for them today and thanks to you for stopping by! I hope I gave you some inspiration for this fun set!
Have a wonderful day and happy crafting!
Cindi
