Hiya my #TexturalTuesdays friends! It's Lisa back on the blog and I'm so super happy to be featuring some awesomeness from Pretty Pink Posh today. Paulina and I go way back to my very first CHA (I think 7 years ago...could be more) and she and I had been online buddies for so long. We finally had the chance to meet in real life. It was so fun to finally meet and hug. She's just the sweetest and kindest person ever. I'm so thrilled for all her success with her company. It's just gives me such joy to create with her products.
I loved making this card today. Incorporating her sweet style with a bit of my mixed-media-esque. I hope that you will all like it, too.
I started by stamping the Pretty Pink Posh Clear Stamps, Fox Friends onto Britol paper with Taylored Expressions Hybrid Ink Pad in Oreo using the MISTI. I set these aside.
Then I die-cut the Pretty Pink Posh Dies, Stitched Hexagons, and also set these aside.
Next, I cut down a panel of Ranger Watercolor Paper and, using the smooth side, place a honeycomb/hexagon stencil over the left side and spread some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Mother of Pearl over the stencil.
Carefully lift the stencil to reveal the pattern left behind.
You can tell from the image above that I do not try to be very careful with my application other than to make certain the design is clear. I, personally, prefer a more random application of a stencil. To me it looks more interesting this way!
While the mousse is still wet it can be used an an adhesive and is the perfect time to add the Pretty Pink Posh embellishments of your choice. I chose the following: 6mm Flat Sequins, Metallic Bronze; 6mm Flat Sequins, Espresso; Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.
I used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the little foxes and then I fussy cut them out (I only used two of them). I bow down to all those of you who rock at coloring. People like me, with shaky hands? Wow!! Coloring is HARD!! :D
Then I started planning my little scene. Where I wanted the foxes placed within the hexagons. And I also stamped the sentiment to be "held" within one of the fox's paws. (In case you're wondering, it's adhered from the back of the banner to the fox's head and from the "pole" to the paw with a tiny strip of adhesive.)
Using a variety of adhesives I put the scene of my card front together.
Those foxes are just so adorable!! I love how this card turned out. So fun! To finish I simply mounted the card front on Kraft cardstock, and then on Taylored Expressions Chocolate Truffle Cardstock.
Here are some close-ups!
Aren't they the cutest?!!?
And look at this texture, shimmer, and shiiiiine!!
