Hi, Marion Emberson here from WOW! Embossing Powder and to say I’m excited is a slight understatement!!!
Excited because I get to share some quick and simple designs with you, excited that I got to use some AMAZING products and excited that I got asked by Ellen and her fabulous team, thank you guy. Shall we get started...
All my cards are tent fold, it’s a habit, it means they stand better on display. They all measure 4.25” x 11.75” ...Ohhh, meant to say I’m from sunny (well, it is right at this moment) England so my A4 is slightly different to your A4, basically cut your A4 in half lengthways and fold !!
YOU ARE ENOUGH…
If you ever need an excuse to ‘play’ with glitter this is it!
I cut some Elizabeth craft Double Sided Adhesive approximately, 3.25” x 4.5” and adhered it to the front.
Next I peel the front up approximately 1/2” to expose the sticky and sprinkle WOW! Sparkles on, shake off the excess and repeat all the way, I used 3 Sparkles - Pinkini, Peppermint Stick and Fireworks.
Take a piece of scrap card stock and using a brayer, ink up the card stock and sprinkle with WOW! Gold Rich pale Embossing Powder, heat set. I use a brayer for this as it gives an incredibly smooth finish.
On another piece of scrap card stock adhere the Elizabeth Crafts Double Sided Adhesive, then peel the front to reveal the sticky, I then sprinkled it with Pinkini Sparkles and using the Penny black Beautiful Blossom die I die cut the outline flower and die cut the solid flower from the gold embossed piece. Then layered them together.
Stamp and emboss a sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Lovely Stamps on a scrap piece and and cut into a banner.
Adhere to card front with the flower, using dimensional foam pads.
This design can work for so many occasions including Christmas, christening, sympathy, get well etc. just change the colour of your Sparkles!
SPARKLE IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY
Here we’re going to create a custom background, ready…..
I cut a piece of white card stock slightly smaller than my main card, taking an old business card, dab it into the embossing ink and scrap the front of the card stock, sprinkle with embossing powder, heat set and repeat,
I used Soft Mango twice and Pink Taffeta once, heat setting in between layers, quick tip, use the plain powder first then the glitter powder last, that way there’s less contamination of glitter in the plain powder.
Using a spritzer bottle of water, open up completely and using the tube, splat water over card front and sprinkle with embossing powder, heat set this from underneath, less flies off.
Adhere some Elizabeth Crafts Double Sided Adhesive to a piece of scrap card stock, peel off the front to reveal the stick and apply the WOW! Fab Foil colour side up, lift to reveal the foiled piece.
Using the Essentials by Ellen Sparkle Die, die cut and adhere to front using dimensional cut in very thin strips.
Position your sentiment and then grab with the acrylic block, ink up and stamp in position.
JUST BECAUSE
This card came about from the glitter and powder residue from the other two cards… let me explain.
Whilst making the other cards, to help me clear up the stray Sparkles and Powders, I use a lint roller. If you haven’t spilt enough you can always cheat and throw a little extra down and ‘clean’ that up :)
Once the roller is completely covered, remove the layer and using the Gorgeous Penny Black Graceful Wings die, die cut it, it gives the most gorgeous effect and so gentle looking.
From a piece of scrap I die cut a frame using the My Favourite Things Stitched Square Scalloped Frame Die (Medium) and adhered it to the card front. Using a fine glue pen adhere the butterfly on the card and over the frame.
Next I got to use some of the gorgeous 28 Lilac Lane sequins, you need these just for the little bottle they come in… so cute!!! I had Winter White, but wanted to add another colour, so I put a few drops of alcohol ink into a grip seal bag, added some of the sequins, left for about 5 minutes and removed them, dropping onto a kitchen towel to soak up the excess and now they’re coloured green!!!
Adhere your butterfly with a Quickie Glue Pen and the sequins with little dots of Glossy Accents, finish off by stamping your sentiment beneath the frame.
I hope you enjoyed my shares and you have fun embossing, glittering, stamping and die cutting till your hearts content.
Thanks again guys for the opportunity, I absolutely loved playing with your products, FAB quality and great designs and they worked so well with our WOW! products, till the next time
Hugs, Marion xxx
