Happy Thursday! It's Carly and I'm here for another #throwbackthursdays, where we find inspiration in The CLASSroom archives! This week in addition to learning from past posts by our fabulous team, we are celebrating one of our long time favorite brands, Impression Obsession!
Impression Obsession makes an amazing assortment of stamps & dies and our girl Kittie makes AMAZING things with them! Kittie is especially a genius with die cuts! Here are some of my favorite Kittie creations...
Spring Wishes by Kittie Caracciolo
Apple Tree Scene by Kittie Caracciolo
Spring Wreath by Kittie Caracciolo
And I want to be like Kittie so I created this...
To create this card, start by die cutting the berry basket. I wanted a very specific shade of blue-green that I didn't have in cardstock so I used Smooth Bristol. Then I colored it with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass & Cracked Pistachio and a blending tool.
Next stamp a background on the front of an A2 card. I used the scalloped lines from the Essentials by Ellen Wonky Backdrops and Distress Oxide Cracked Pistachio. I also added a sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Warm Fuzzies set.
Die cut the strawberries & stems (or the tomatoes that come with the basket or IO makes cute carrots too). I already had my Smooth Bristol out so I used that along with Distress Ink Twisted Citron, Worn Lipstick & Abandoned Coral.
Adhere the berry basket with foam tape to the card front.
Assemble strawberries and adhere in basket, some flat and some with foam adhesive.
Ta-da! And I love it so much! I see baskets of carrots and tomatoes in my future!!! Thank you for the inspiration Kittie!!!
Have a great day!
xo, Carly
