Hello all! It's background week and I'm thrilled to be participating in such a fun week. I love creating a custom background on cards - it really makes the recipient wonder how it was created and really creates a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
I used one of the new Neat & Tanlged pencils and held it in place with some good quality masking tape. Then, I ink blended lightly across the top of the stencil.
Next, I die cut a word from black card stock.
I love love LOVE this Little B Magnetic Piercing tool. It works fantastic to either poke paper out of dies or get the tiny pieces that don't come out easily.
Next, I stamped a sentiment on black card stock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
Then I trimmed out the word and added some accent hearts.
Next, I decided I really wanted to make the words pop - so I smooshed the words into a versa mark pad and dipped them in clear embossing powder.
Once heat embossed, they look like a shiny, 3-dimensional sticker!
Then I placed it all one the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! Have a great day!
