Hi Friends! It's Carly and I'm here for another #throwbackthursdays, where we find inspiration in The CLASSroom archives!
I've said it before and I will say it again, I love foil! Love, love, love it! Recently I learned a very cool way to foil with stamps thanks to Heidi Swapp & Jen Evans, and I wanted to share it with you!
To create a "stamp pad" with Minc mediums, you need foam. I used small squares of Ranger Cut-N-Dry Stamp Pad Foam and applied the different Minc mediums. I found all three mediums - Paint, Screen Ink and Reactive Mist - worked well but the Minc Paint and Reactive Mist worked the best.
After creating the stamp pad, gently tap pad onto stamp and stamp. After stamping "thanks" from the Honey Bee Thanks And Giving set, I sprayed Minc Reactive Mist along the top.
Let stamped sentiment/image and Reactive Mist dry.
Once dry, apply a piece of transfer foil on top and run through a laminator.
To the foiled panel, add snowflake accents. I used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes. These die cuts are so cool, they partially cut the snowflakes so the pieces can be popped up for striking dimension.
Complete the sentiment by stamping over the foiled word with StazOn ink.
To add gold foil behind the dimensional snowflakes, apply a piece of double-sided adhesive to the front of a card. Remove liner and apply foil. I used the leftovers from foiling my "thanks".
Apply the foiled snowflake panel on top and ta-da!
