Hello and happy Wednesday! Can you believe Christmas is nearly here? I'm seriously just stunned. Where did 2016 go? Anyways, as part of the anniversary celebration - I'm playing with Mama Elephant today here in the CLASSroom.
To create my card, first I did some ink blending to create a sky.
Then, I lightly splattered it with water to create the effect of snow drops.
Next, I added white watercolor to the sky. More starry snow.
I used my MISTI to stamp the images from Mama Elephant's new City Sidewalks.
I get lots of questions about what color of Copics I use, so I thought I'd use most of my favorites and show each of the color trios here.
Reds. Nice and light. Nearly a salmon tint.
Yellows. Warm and buttery.
Blues. Ahhh. Super light aqua.
Purples. Nice and muted.
Pinks. Soft and muted.
Tans. The E40, E41, E42, E43, and E44 are by far my favorite browns!
Greens - bright and cheery!
Once they were all colored, I die cut them out using the coordinating dies.
Next, I added a snowy hill to my blended background.
I adhered the died to the card and positioned the sentiment.
To make the sentiment 'pop' I used white embossing powder.
Lastly, I added white gel pen accents to create bright starry snowy accents!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me and congratulations Ellen on an amazing TEN years!
