Pinkfresh Studio Paper and Essentials by Ellen stamps

Today, I'm playing with the new Essentials by Ellen stamps in combination with Pinkfresh Studio papers (specifically the Life Noted 6x6 paper pad)!   I love using patterned paper to jump start my design! 

First I started with a die cut layer. 

Then I stamped clouds. 

Then, I used my Mini MISTI to stamp the bird and the sentiment.  I love how this allows me to re-ink if I mis-stamp - which I rarely do... chuckle!!!  (Just kidding - I'm seriously challenged when it comes to stamping straight!)

I colored the bird in with Copics. 

Then, every so carefully, I colored the clouds in to match the paper perfectly.  Since this ink isn't very Copic friendly, I tried to stay away from the stamped lines. 

I added birds in the background and colored them in the same way. 

Finally I cut out my piece of patterned paper.  Oooh.  Ahhh.  Gorgeous paper right?

Then I glued it to my card base. 

And then I added my stamped layer to the base.  I love the detail that the patterned paper adds!
