Hello, everybody!
I'm taking a break from Hello, Monday video as I work on art for the next Essentials by Ellen release! :)
But, I still wanted to share some eye candy with you! Literally! ;)
This is one of my favorite ideas that I didn't actually share during the release hop--a TWO-FER, cuz it's a a card with a tiny gift. It just doesn't get any sweeter, eh?! *chortle*
The background was made by stamping the little boat in black, and then flipping the stamp over on my block and inking the back side of the stamp with a beautiful soft blue color to stamp over the top, filling in the image.
The greeting was stamped with pigment ink in a pretty red hue onto a piece of vellum and then clear heat embossed. I secured a little 1" circle punched from a scrap white paper to the back of the candy and then everything got mounted to the card front with glue dots, placed in inconspicuous spots behind the "gift" and the lettering on the vellum. This gave the focal some framework, diffusing the background, but not covering it up entirely.
Individually wrapped candies are da' bomb, aren't they???!!! *fist pump*
Hope your Monday is going splendid!
