Good Wednesday morning and welcome to the CLASSroom. My project today is a sweet wedding card made using the Impression Obsession Wedding Cake Set paired with the Ornate Rectangle Frame and the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables. I used the Crafter’s Companion Green Envy and Pink Pearl Shimmering cardstock.
Here is a picture of all the parts. I’m sorry the pictures are a bit washed out. I had trouble photographing this color pink and white laying flat.
Cut the frame and attach the frame and inner rectangle piece together with double stick tape.
Apply double stick tape to the work surface and roll with your finger to create a thin adhesive strip to apply to the back of the frame.
Attach the white scalloped layer to the card base with mounting tape and then attach the frame to scalloped layer.
Attach the three graduated sections of the wedding cake together with double stick tape. Cut the cake trim pieces to fit the cake layers and then attach them to the cake with tiny dots of glossy accents.
Roll the tiny rolled roses around the tip of your tweezers and secure the rose closed with glossy accents. You may need to get your highest powered reading glasses out for this part. LOL! This is the cutest little rolled flower ever.
Cut the leaves off the stems and attach to the cake layers with glossy accents. Attach the tiny roses over the leaves with glossy accents.
Color the tiny bride and groom with a black and yellow marker and attach to the back of the cake top with double stick tape. apply mounting tape to the back of the cake and a small piece to the back of the bride and attach to the card base. The cake fits perfectly inside the frame. If you look close you can see the tiny rolled rose and green stems bouquet in the bride’s hand.
I love the combination of the decorative border on the frame and the pretty wedding cake. What a perfect card to send the bride and groom or to attach to the gift. This would look pretty done in any color combination.
