Hello, crafters -- Sharon Harnist here with you today, wrapping up Winnie & Walter's Share the Love Week Featuring Essentials by Ellen! Today's challenge is a Mood Board Challenge! Check out this wonderful inspiration:
Don't forget -- Here in the CLASSroom, we're drawing a winner each day from those who participate in the challenges for a $25 Ellen Hutson store credit, so I hope you're ready to create & play!

For my challenge sample, I focused in on the wonderful colors of the party table scene in the upper right corner of the mood board -- vibrant pinks and oranges with a touch of aqua, and also the touches of current & trendy gold (bold products are linked below in the supply section):
I'm working with a beautiful bouquet building stamp set from Winnie & Walter, In Bloom-Addie's Garden and awesome sentiment set, The Big The Bold and The Happy. I combined those with Essentials by Ellen Mini Window dies by Julie -- I thought the window flap could resemble the little gift card that comes with a bouquet of flowers! The rectangle shape of the window also mimics the wall of framed art in the lower left corner of the Mood Board:
These pretty sketchy flower stamps make it easy to quickly stamp a bouquet -- I did so (and with only masking part of ONE flower!), with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah 100 Lb. Solar White cardstock, then colored them with these Copic Sketch Markers:
For the touches of gold, I squeezed the barrel of a Wink of Stella Gold Glitter Brush Marker to get the ink flowing a little more than usual, and then tapped it against my finger, which splattered the pretty shimmery gold all over the background! I placed the Mini Window die over the spot where I would die cut, so the "gift card" wouldn't have any splatters on it:
After die cutting the window, I created the sentiment with W&W's The Big The Bold and The Happy stamp set and stamped a small part of one of the flowers again on the "gift card":
I hope it ended up looking like a little floral gift card to you, as well? :) When the flap is lifted, a personal note can be written underneath it:
I decided to keep this as a flat card/"postcard", so to finish it I just trimmed the stamped panel a little and adhered it to a 4.25" x 5.50" panel of Ellen's Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. I know the recipient of this card loves to keep them on display, so I backed the card with a piece of Ellen's Magnetic Die Storage material so it can easily be displayed on her fridge!
I look forward to seeing YOUR Mood Board Challenge projects!
