Happy Thursday friends! Carly here for #throwbackthursday, where we explore the amazing ideas from our design team in The Classroom archive...
I love patterned paper, LOVE it but I realized that lately I seem to just be collecting pretty papers and not actually using any so I turned to The Classroom for some pattern inspiration! Julia Stainton is a pro at using patterned paper, check out some of these projects:

Julia has even written a handy article on mixing patterns:

So feeling inspired and more confident in my pattern play, I created this card:
I started by creating a 3-panel card, 5-1/2 x 12 scored at 4 and 8 inches.
I adhered 3 coordinating patterns to the panels.
Then I die cut the largest Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia flower from the front of my card.
I cut the medium flower from the second panel.
To finish my card front, I adhered the back of the front panel (the one with green stripes) to the middle panel (the gold flowers on navy).
Inside I foam mounted the smallest flower die cut with a messy nest of gold thread.
And for my sentiment, I cut the Essentials by Ellen Many Thanks 3 times, 1 layer was cardstock and Stick It Adhesive. Then I applied gold foil to the die cut with Stick It. And then I adhered all the layers together to create a dimensional sentiment and trimmed of the "many", leaving just "thanks".
Hope you have a great day!
