Hi everyone! Every once in awhile I get super adventurous. Today was one of those days for me! I've been dying to try one of these shaker window cards and I'm thrilled with how it turned out.
First I cut a window in my top folding card base.
Then, I created a frame using the same size smaller die and an outer die. Having this margin will allow me to hide the adhesive.
Ta-da! I love making these frames.
Next I trimmed pieces of clear card stock to size.
Then, I stamped a sentiment with white staz on ink!
I jammed it full of Pretty Pink Posh sequins!
Then, very carefully positioned it over my card base!
I used foam mounting tape to adhere the layers of clear card stock in place.
And mounted my frame. Ta-da!
I decided the inside needed a little "pop" so I stamped a balloon.
Then, I wanted to add another balloon behind the first balloon. So, I covered the first stamped image with masking paper and then stamped it again.
Copic coloring. Love. I love having all different shades of Copic friendly ink - it makes tone-on-tone SO much easier.
Added tails.
Soooo pretty and shaker fun! But....
I decided the white sentiment didn't really work - so I used my MISTI and lined the sentiment stamp up perfectly over the white stamped sentiment - and stamped it again in black Staz-On ink! I am shocked I didn't mess this up completely! I LOVE MY MISTI!!!
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me!
XOXO,
Heather
