To be honest, when I started the concept for this set, there wasn't a bear. The whole premise of the set was to have images--"things"--that could be tucked inside of a tiny envelope: Sunshine, love, yadda yadda.
But illustrating "hugs" inside a tiny envelope had me stumped initially. Eventually I thought of "bear" hugs, and bear was born. :)
So, yes, all those things can fit into the envelope slider dies, but I added some special cut lines on the bear die so that his arms could have fun things tucked into them! EEP!!!
You could do some masking, of course, and get a similar effect, if you don't have the die, but the dimension the die adds is soooooo cute!!! Not to mention, it is waaaay less tedious than masking those wee arms! Ask me how I know... *cheeky grin*
There's a tip in the video for SOLID type dies that have matching stamps that involves using the MISTI, too--I LOVE that thing! I have the original size, too but I'm SO glad they came out with a Mini version! I don't have to clear away so much desk surface. *sheepish grin*
I had to give him a high glossy nose... He always makes me smile!
