Hello Hello! Welcome to the Classroom today! Today is ultra exciting for me because I'm on my way to Mexico for Spring Break today! Yippeeeee! I'm rather excited.
Now to the card - I wanted to play with Julie's Mondo Hydrangea! I love this set!
First, I watercolored a soft background using my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I kept the color darker at the bottom and lighter at the top to allow for different color stamping.
I stamped my lightest hydrangea at the top.
Then, I stamped my darker color hydrangeas. I love how the darker watercolor "fills" them in.
Then, I trimmed my watercolor stamped masterpiece down to a smaller size using my Avery Elle Finished Frames die.
Then, I positioned the panel in my MISTI so I could stamp my sentiment.
The first time I stamped it, I ended up with some less than stellar stamping. Good thing I used my MISTI!
Check that out! Perfect stamping by sticking to my MISTI! I love love LOVE this tool for sentiments. I can't tell you how many pieces of card stock (and hours of crafty re-do's) I've saved with this tool!
Splatter. Because I'm obsessed.
I added a strip of patterned paper to the card base.
Secured to the base.
Lastly, I add a few finish touches ahem sequins because they are the best finishing touch!
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing in my day today! I hope you have a tremendous, wonderful, absolutely beautiful day!
XOXO,
Heather
