Good Wednesday morning and welcome to the CLASSroom. I love Julie’s Bed of Roses die and and how pretty it looks paired with flowers and foliage from Julie’s Wild Garden set and the largest frame from the My Favorite Things Pierced Rectangle Frames set.
Trim about 1/2 inch off of one side and bottom of the rose die cut to fit on the back of the frame.
Apply double stick tape to the back of the frame.
Remove paper tape back and attach the die cut to the frame.
Apply thin strips of mounting tape all the way around the back of the frame. Apply one larger piece in the upper left side of the frame to act as a support for the floral arrangement.
Remove tape paper backing and attach frame to the card base.
Apply a piece of Stick It to the back of Sour Grape cardstock and cut one rose. Cut a second rose using cardstock with no Stick It, place it over a piece of white cardstock and trace around it using a pencil.
Cut out the white layer to use as a base for the flower.
Remove the paper backing of the Stick It from the first rose and attach it to the white base piece. I’m sorry that I failed to get a picture of this step.
Place a strip of double stick tape on a flat surface, remove the paper backing and roll up the tape with your finger to create an adhesive thread to attach the second rose over the base flower.
Attach the rolled double stick tape to the back of the second flower and pop it up over the first.
Apply glossy accents to the back of the layered rose and attach to the card base right over top of the mounting tape piece.
Cut several pieces of foliage, lightly form them with your fingers and tuck them under the flower and attach with glossy accents. Note the white layer hides the ends of the foliage pieces.
I’m sorry that some of my photos wash out the purple cardstock. It seems my camera and I don’t get along well sometimes.
Thanks so much for joining me in the CLASSroom today. See you next time!
