Hello everyone and happy February! Who is ready for some pink fun? I seriously adore all things Valentine's! Today, I thought it would be fun to take a set I already have and make it a little love themed.
First I stamped the monster from Avery Elle Monsters. I also added a little bow tie to make him handsome. I also stamped the box and sentiment - but forgot to take a picture of that. Whoops.
I colored in the box.
Then I colored in the monster.
Next, I die cut them both out.
To slide him in the box, I had to cut a slit. I simply used my craft knife and cut along the stamped line.
Once I opened the slit, I could see the inside of the paper.
Remedy: Memento Black marker. This is a great way to cover that white.
Look how handsome he is popping up out of his box.
Next, I wanted to work on the card base. I used an Avery Elle die cut to create the wonky stitches and then again used a pinked edge border (I love this one because it has both dotted and plain!) to create my own custom panel.
Ta-da! It's so fun to stretch dies and see what else you can come up with!
To get better colors for my hearts, I simply used Copic markers to alter my card stock die cuts!
I adhered everything to my card with Dimensional foam. I also die cut a bunch of little hearts and popped them in the box as well.
Then, I added balloon strings (another die cut) and some white gel pen to make the balloons official.
Finally, I decided he needed to be blushing, so I added some pink cheeks.
To finish it off, I wrapped some twine and tied a cute bow!
So cute and perfect for Valentine's day! Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great day!
XOXO, Heather
