Happy weekend, crafters, Sharon here with you today in the CLASSroom today! I have a sweet little thank you card to share -- Let me tell you how it came together . . .
The pink background is one that I actually had laying around from a watercolor background making session! Whenever I have the supplies out, I will usually go ahead and make up a few extras to have on hand ... you never know when they will come in handy for quick projects! This one was created with my favorite pink Distress Ink -- Picked Raspberry. I just tapped the ink pad around on my Non-Stick Craft Sheet, spritzed it with water, then dipped watercolor paper into the ink. Allow the paper to dry naturally, or speed up the process with a heat tool (which is my preference, because I'm impatient!).
To achieve the water droplette look, lay the dried watercolor paper back onto the beads of ink that will probably still be present on your craft sheet (if there aren't any left, just spritz with more water), then dry the paper again. You can keep adding depth of color this way, on whatever part of the paper you wish.
Next, I die cut the pink paper with MFT's Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX and adhered that to a Neenah Solar White panel die cut with Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches die. The two background panels were adhered to a Bazzill Licorice Twist card. The awesome "thanks" sentiment is from Julie's Essentials by Ellen Hello Gorgeous stamp set. It was stamped with Onyx Black Versafine on the pink panel.
Now for the bling! I die cut Julie's Brushstroke Hello and hearts from All Inside from American Crafts Gold Glitter cardstock. The hearts were scattered on the cardfront and the Hello was adhered with Copic Foam Tape to the sweet little envelope created with Julie's largest Envelope Slider die. I find it easier to work Neenah's lighter 80 lb. weight cardstock when working with smaller die cuts like this, that need to be folded.
Inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Hello Gorgeous stamp set, along with two of the gems, and added a glitter heart die cut:
And that's it ... quick and easy and this thank you card is in the mail! Thanks so much for joining me today! ~Sharon
