Good Wednesday morning and welcome to the CLASSroom. Have you had the chance to check out Julie’s wonderful new 2016 winter release? She has absolutely outdone herself again. My project today was made using her coordinating All Inside stamp set and All Inside die set. I created the layers and frame using the Impression Obsession Rectangle 6-in-1 Frames, Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Stackables and We R Memory Keepers Nesting Card Templates. I love how the red hearts pop against the stark white and black background.
Attach the black layer and white scalloped layer to the card base with ATG adhesive.
Attach the two frame sections together using double stick tape.
Attach thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the frame and attach it to the card base.
Cut the bear, line the stamp up over top of the the bear, stamp with black versafine and emboss with clear embossing powder. Note: Sharon showed a different technique for stamping and cutting the bear on her Sunshine Bear project post in the CLASSroom last week. You can see it here.
Cut a black bear, cut the bottom half off right at the elbows to create a pair of pants and attach to the white bear with glossy accents. Make note that Julie designed the bear die so the arms would be free to hold things in his paws. So cute!!!!!
Apply a glue dot to the back of a red heart and place it in the bear’s paws
Stamp the “you are my” sentiment with black versafine on a tag and emboss with clear embossing powder. Attach the tag in the bear’s paws with a glue dot.
Apply a piece of mounting tape to the back of the bear and attach him to the card base.
Apply glossy accents to the back of a couple more hearts and attach them to the frame and card base.
Cut another scalloped piece of cardstock, stamp the “Love” sentiment with black versafine and emboss with clear embossing powder. Apply ATG adhesive to the back of the sentiment layer and attach on the inside of the card.
Apply glossy accents to three red hearts (or as many as you like) and attach them around the sentiment to finish the inside of the card.
I hope you have been inspired to make a few cute bears cards of your own. If you haven’t already you will definitely want to check out the release blog hop. There are so many wonderful projects for you to see. Oh….and an opportunity for you to win a prize as well.
