Whale hello everyone! (hahaha I crack myself up!) I've been in an ink blending mood lately and I thought it would make the perfect background for this new Avery Elle Whale Hello orca stamp.
First, I die cut my panel to create a negative space that would be the focal spot for my image.
Here's how it looks once it's die cut.
Then, I rested my panel on my card base and drew around the inside of the heart lightly with a pencil.
By adding a pencil outline, I give myself a guide so I'm able to blend in just the right spot.
It's important not to blend too far to the edges of my card, as they'll be exposed.
Then I stamped the sentiment, again using that pencil outline as a guide.
Finally, I added foam adhesive to give the blended layer depth.
Here's how it looks when it's assembled.
Now it's onto the focal image! I stamped the orca and die cut him out using my Big Shot.
I colored him in lightly with Copics, I love the W series. It's nice and warm.
I positioned him on the card and then decided it was a little too plain for my liking.
So I gently pulled it apart and added some twine. I love love love this Lawn Fawn twine.
To add a touch of sparkle, I added some Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
Finally, a bit of gel pen. I am addicted to adding these finishing touches.
Here's how it looks up close!
Thanks for joining me in the classroom today! I hope you have a great day!
XOXO,
Heather
