Hey there! Happy New Year! Can you believe it's 2016?! I've been so ready to play with new products and I'm excited to share some here!
To start my card, I die cut some colorful clouds out of different card stock using one of my favorite Lawn Fawn dies - the Puffy Cloud Borders.
Then, I adhered them all in place onto a white card front.
To start the focal image, I used the new Avery Elle Pixie Dust set and stamped a bunch of the images in Memento black on some white paper.
I love sets like this where I can just color for the fun of it! These little pixies are so fun to color!
Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. One of my favorite tricks to hold dies in place is to use washi tape as I'm running them through my die cutting machine. This prevents them from shifting around and creates the perfect die cut outline!
In this die set is this fun die - you'll notice it doesn't actually die cut - it just leaves the stitching!
Then, I positioned the fairy, her wand and stars with dimensional foam.
Lastly, I added a sentiment - stamping it in Versafine and then heat embossing with clear embossing powder to make it pop!
For the card itself, I decided it needed some interest so I die cut the A2 Scallop from Sweet Scallops in Vellum.
Then, the panel I trimmed down to 4"x5.25" and adhered it to the front.
Then, I adhered a top folding card base to the back. Notice it hides just behind the front panel. The dimensions of the card base are 4" x 5.25"!
I added a hefty coating of Wink of Stella to the fairy and stars!
And finished it off with some Perfect Pearls mist. I love how this gives some droplet effect!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and sharing part of your day with me! Have a wonderful day!
