Good Wednesday morning and welcome to the CLASSroom. Did you enjoy the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist? I sure did! I was so inspired and just had to make another tag for my project today using the Impression Obsession Fireplace Set. Christmas is a time that brings wonderful memories with family and loved ones. The fireplace was the centerpiece of the living room in my childhood home and my mother always arranged the mantle with evergreens cut from the trees on our farm. I couldn’t resist adding a touch of humor by placing one of my curious cats high up on the mantle. It’s just so typical.
Cut a white set and red set of stockings. Cut the toe and heel off of a one stocking and attach to the coordinating stocking with glossy accents.
Cut the grate, wood and flames. Lightly apply Spiced Marmalade ink to the yellow flame pieces with a mini applicator. Assemble the pieces with glossy accents and apply yellow stickles to the flames to add sparkle.
Cut the tag, fireplace pieces and the wall of the Brick House.
Apply double stick tape to the back of the mantle and attach to the brick surround.
Trim the brick wall, apply double stick tape to the back of the mantle and attach to the wall.
Cut a decorative paper tag and attach to the white tag with ATG adhesive. Apply mounting tape to the back of the hearth section and attach to the bottom of the tag.
Slide the fireplace into place directly over top of the hearth and attach. The picture below is a little deceiving. The fireplace was pushed all the way down and attached directly above the hearth.
Cut the Gold Foil frame and sentiment layer using the Nesting Oval dies. Stamp the Merry Wishes sentiment with Versa and emboss with gold embossing powder. Apply rolled up double stick tape to the back of the frame and attach to the sentiment.
Apply ATG adhesive to the back of the framed sentiment and attach to the tag base.
Cut six red flowers and three green flowers from the Spring Wreath set to form the mini poinsettias. Turn the flowers face down on the molding pad and form the petals with the small stylus.
Turn the flowers face up on the molding pad and push down in the center to draw the petals up.
Apply glossy accents to the green flower layer for the base and assemble by adding two red flowers for each poinsettia. Form the tiny flower center and attach with glossy accents.
Cut several sections of Pine Sprigs for the mantle arrangement Arrange six or seven pieces of pine on the left side with glossy accents and repeat the same steps on the right side.
Fill in the center section with four or five pieces to complete the foliage background.
Attach the three poinsettias to the foliage arrangement with glossy accents.
Apply a double layer of mounting tape to the back of the stockings and attach them to the tag base to appear hanging from the mantle.
Add markings to the white cat with a black Copic marker.
Apply Antique Linen and Vintage Photo ink with a mini applicator to color the brown cats.
Attach mounting tape to the back of the cats and attach them to the tag.
