It is a pleasure to welcome May Flaum to the CLASSroom today and share her eclectic style with you! Several years ago I met May at CHA in Anaheim - her warmth and bubbly personality come through in the projects she creates.
Embracing creativity in all aspects of her life and with many tricks and tips up her sleeve, May loves to share ways that will inspire YOU to create. A long-time instructor, published artist and previous store manager, May shares step by step instructions that will bolster your confidence - that shows through in your projects.
Please join us in thanking May for sharing her creativity here in the CLASSroom by heading over to her blog Craft with May and leaving a comment there by November 19th. Look for the post where she shares a sneak peek of the project and includes the blog candy shown below. One lucky random winner will receive these goodies that May used in creating today's project!
Thank you May for joining us today and for putting together a video as you share this fabulous concept! -Ellen
I’m so excited to be here today because I will be sharing one of my all-time favorite card designs. This is a design that I’ve shared in my online class Tried & True Cards that has just started, but in a very different way as you’ll see in my video.
For my cards here today I’m approaching this as a great way to use a lot of little stamps. Some of my favorite Christmas stamps are the Essentials by Ellen ones, so I decided to show you a few variations on this one idea.
Enjoy the video in HD on our YouTube Channel HERE, and thanks for taking a moment to give it a thumbs up! We appreciate you tuning into our guests each month to see what they have to share with you! :)
I don’t know about you –but I always need more ways to use up stamp sets that have loads of little stamps!
There are a few things I really love about this design for stamps – the first is that it is so very easy for making multiple similar cards, and very economical.
The second is that you can make a one-layer or flat card as beautiful as one with loads of dimension or chunky embellishments.
Third, I love that I can make a clean design with random small stamps that might otherwise be difficult for me to use together without making a mess.
Finally, I love that I can play with any color mediums I like, and make any variations I like keeping my idea fresh and my card making fast!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my video and how-to! If you’re interested in learning more about my card making class or signing up, come check it out here: Tried & True Online Class - it’s going on now, but access will remain open after class so you can work at your own pace and enjoy creating cards as long as you’d like. -May
