Sing it with me now... it's the most wonderful time of the year!!!! I just can't not grin when I look at the new Essentials by Ellen Holly Jolly stamp set. I adore it so much! It's absolutely one of my most favorite sets ever. It's definitely very holly jolly!
Today, I thought it would be fun to blend an ink background for this amazing sentiment to sit in front of!
First I blended the top half of my card stock with Tumbled Glass distress ink.
Then, I decided I needed to mask a snow line so I die cut a snow drift from masking tape and continued to blend until I had a nice blue with it slightly lighter in the center.
To add something a little different, I decided to start the gradient sky with a purple, so I brought out my Dusty Concord distress ink and very lightly blended the top.
I love this look when the mask is removed. It's so striking!
Next up, I wanted to add white trees to my snow line. So, I stamped them in Versamark and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
I love how they "pop" off that gradient background.
Before I stamp my sentiment, I needed to die cut a border. I used one of my favorites, Avery Elle's Double Pierced Rectangles.
Then, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.
Ta-da! I had to add some burst from the same set.
Finally a bit of washi tape along the bottom.
And I mounted it to a card base.
To finish it off, sequins. Because sequins make everything perfect. :)
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! I hope you have a great one! (And if you're in the US, Happy Thanksgiving to you tomorrow!)
