Happy Friday, everyone -- I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! This card is influenced by the official start of the holiday season today!

I finally found the perfect light gray cardstock I've been searching for and couldn't wait to use it -- Bazzill's Alpaca, which I used for the background of this card. Here's how this card came together:
1. I dry embossed the background with Taylored Expressions' Snowfall embossing folder. To bring out the snowflakes, I used an ink blending tool to add white pigment ink -- just lightly rub the sponge over the top of the embossing and it will enhance them nicely (the snowflakes on the lower left of the panel below have not yet been inked):
2. I started building the gate by die cutting all the parts from Marshmallow cardstock, then colored the base/back of the gate with Copic T0 marker to help create depth:
3. The Door to Door Decor large wreath base was die cut from dark green (Gumdrop) cardstock -- again, to create depth -- then topped with branchy wreaths cut from lighter Easter Grass cardstock (shown in the lower left of the photo above). Two more branch pieces were die cut from Bazzill Red Hots cardstock and added to the wreath to serve as a bow.
4. To begin building the scene I started with a Marshmallow Build a Scene-Rolling Hills to create a snowy ground:
5. Next, the white die cut Garden Arbor and Gate and Arbor Fence were added, using rolled up Mini Glue Dots:
6. The garden gate hardware and topiary pots were die cut from Sugar Wafer cardstock and added to the card using X-Press It Foam Tape. The topiaries were die cut from both colors of green cardstock, with the lighter green greenery cut off the limbs and added on top of the darker green bases -- once again, to create depth:
7. The beautiful Noel sentiment from Julie's Essentials by Ellen Mistletoe & Holly stamp set was silver heat embossed onto a Taylored Expressions Stitched Banner Stacklet and added to the card with foam tape.
Wishing you all a very happy Holiday season to come!
