No stamping! Can you believe it? I love stamping so setting them aside is hard for me but sometimes it's fun to play with just dies. I used the new Be-You-tiful die in the Essentials by Ellen line (by Julie) to stand center stage on this card, with the use of just a few dies.
Let's get to how I put this together!
First I cut a bunch of strips in Bazzill card stock. YUMMY colors huh!
Then I die cut a dotted border on one side and adhered it to my card with scor tape.
I continued on with my rainbow making sure to have the dots cover the card base knowing I was going to trim off the excess!
Here it is all complete. Eep I am a fan of all things rainbowish!
Finally I trimmed off the overhang. It's very helpful to have a strong paper trimmer when playing with this many layers of thick delicious card stock! (I love my tonic!)
Finally I added a top white layer.
Finished top layer ready to work on the card design!
First I die cut my tag.
Then I repositioned the tag so it would cut the hole part off. The piercing is very easy to line up!
Here it is once I've partially re-die cut it! Notice there's a little notch - I plan on covering that up! I'm all about stretching my stash and this is a great way to do just that!
Then I position it on the card.
Next, I die cut the sentiment from Chickaniddy Goldie Lox gold foil paper. Sigh I eat this stuff. It's magical!
Secured to the card with Glue Dots. Micro size. My favorite.
Added stars from the Essentials by Ellen Hearth & Home dies cut from the same gold paper.
Then I masked it all and added some splatter by flicking watercolors against the card.
Pretty huh? I think this is just striking and it makes me so happy!
Thanks so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! I hope you have a fabulous day!
XOXO,
Heather
