Hello and welcome to a SUPER Wednesday! I just adore these little Tiny Heroes from Mama Elephant so much and gosh are they fun to play with! Today, I used Lawn Fawn alphabet die cuts to create a custom sentiment using a technique that I showed a few weeks ago using Copic markers to create custom ombre accents.
First, I used the awesome Lawn Fawn Finley's alphabet dies. Then, once I had the alphabet cut out, I used 3 different shades of Copics to create the custom ombre sentiment!
Then I stamped the girl and cut her out so I could color her in with my Copics. When I work with Copics, I generally try and stick to my 2 or 3s to get the appropriate shading.
I colored her with E00 and E02 for the skin.
Y15 and Y17 for the gloves and boots.
R05 and R14 for the mask and belt.
R20, R21 and R22 for the cape.
E30, E33 and E35 for the hair.
I used N0 and C00 for the cat and R05 and R14 for the mask and collar. I used a gold pen to color in the star too.
I die cut a stitched panel.
Then using my acrylic block I lined up the sentiment and adhered it to the panel.
Once I had the super adhered, I was able to stamp the 'you are' and add the girl and cat with dimensional foam.
I stamped the stars and then colored them in with Copics.
Now that I have my panel complete - I can work on the card base.
Then using Silver Fox ink and My Favorite Things Striped Background I stamped a custom card base.
I love the subtle stripes and the distress look here!
I secured it to the panel with dimensional foam but not permanently adhering the bottom portion.
This allowed me to tie a bow around the bottom with my favorite Lawn Fawn Lemon twine!
Super, right? :) I think so and I just know my daughter is going to love this card!
Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy your day!
Hugs,
Heather
