Hello everyone! Can you believe it is April? Spring is here and I'm in the mood for flowers! Todays card uses heat embossing and watercolors to create a very springy card!
First I heat embossed the flowers and leaves from Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms on Distress watercolor paper (this is seriously the best watercolor paper for a nice smooth finish!).
Then I added a sentiment from the Essentials by Ellen Hello, Gorgeous with gold embossing powder.
Next, I added my watercolors. I wanted a very slight ombre effect - so that the darkest blues were towards the flowers and at the top it was very light.
Then I went in and added the rest of my colors. As you can see I like to use my acrylic blocks for mixing my Gansai Tambi watercolors! They go on like butter!
Eep the colors make me so happy!
Then, using my same watercolors, I added some very light gold splatter across the card front! I just flicked my paint brush to get the splatter I wanted!
I folded a top folding A2 card base and used my favorite Little B wash tape along the bottom.
Finally I secured it to the card base!
Lastly, I finished the card off with some Sparkling Clear Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
Thank you so much for stopping by and spending part of your day with me. I hope you have a great day!
XOXO, Heather
