Hello everyone and happy Monday! We're switching our schedule a bit on the blog this week so I'm taking Monday and Julie will be here on Wednesday instead. Stay tuned for it - I am sure you'll enjoy the reason. :)
To create today's card, I created a die cut frame around a focal point - adhering the outside of the die cut with foam adhesive to create dimensional interest.
First I trimmed my panel to just under an A2 size (4 x 5.25) and then I die cut my frame out. This is a fun Avery Elle die cut that will add a dotted border to both sides of the die cut frame.
I secured the outside of the die cut frame with foam adhesive and the inside with regular adhesive so that the inside appears deeper than the outside.
Then, I created an ombre piece of paper with my Copic markers. I just colored lines from darkest to lightest.
Once I had the ombre coloring complete, I die cut a sentiment from it to create an ombre word.
Instead of using dimensional adhesive to pop my sentiment up, I cut a few other pieces of white card stock and backed them to my ombre sentiment to create dimension.
Dimension out of scraps - who doesn't love that? :) Now that I have my die cut sentiment complete, I can secure it to my card.
I used the new Avery Elle Simply Said You coordinating stamps to add on the rest of the sentiment.
To fill in the blank space of the frame, I thought a pretty floral bouquet would do the trick. I used Avery Elle Fabulous Florals to create some two tone stamped flowers and foliage.
Stamped in Pixie, Raspberry and Cherry.
Stamped in Celery, Lemon Grass and Jungle.
Then I cut everything out with the coordinating die cuts.
Then, I just assembled the bouquet with dimensional adhesive.
Then, I finished the entire card off with some of my absolute favorite 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins.
There's a side view of it all. Fun dimension, huh? :)
Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! Have a great day!
