Good Wednesday morning and welcome to the CLASSroom. My project today is a Valentine tea party card made using the Impression Obsession Tea Set paired with the Vase Set, Leaves and Stems, Tiny Flowers, Border Duo 1 and Rectangle 6-in-1 frames.
The tea set comes in several pieces that need to be assembled. I also wanted to add delicate eyelet napkins to finish the place setting. To create the napkins I cut a small piece of the eyelet border and cut two sections for the napkins.
The saucers and lid for the tea pot were attached together with rolled up strips of 1/8” double stick tape. I wanted those pieces to be slightly popped up for dimension.
Several stems and tiny flowers were attached together with glossy accents to use to create the vase of flowers.
The vase was was cut off at the bottom to shorten to fit in the frame properly.
Three stems were attached to the back of the vase with glossy accents. Additional stems will be added to the arrangement once it is attached to the card base.
Thin strips of mounting tape were applied to the back of the frame and it was attached to the card base.
Doubled up pieces of mounting tape were attached to the tea pot and cups so they would stand out higher the frame. A single layer of tape was applied to the vase so it would fit behind the cups.
The vase, cups and tea pot were attached to the card base and frame. Once the vase was attached I tucked a few more stems of flowers into the arrangement attaching with glossy accents.
The napkins were attached with glue dots and the spoons were attached with glossy accents for the finishing touches to the scene.
I love the bright pops of color against the all white background. I hope you have enjoyed this project and I will look forward to seeing you next time.
