I can't believe Christmas is tomorrow! Are you ready? I am. I love soaking in the Holiday season and enjoying every bit of happiness in the air.
Since Christmas is just a day a way, I thought it would be fun to work on a Christmas thank you card. For my card today, I combined smaller images from one of my favorite Essentials by Ellen Christmas Scribbles stamp set into the shape of a heart.
First I drew my heart lightly with pencil.
Then I stamped all of my images. I started with the biggest image (the branch) and worked my way out. I didn't fuss too much over how it fit (or didn't fit) within my sketched heart because - well hey, it's homemade! :)
Then I started coloring everything in with Copics, all messy. I feel like messy coloring matches the perfectly scribbled images.
Working my way around the heart. PS this is my favorite light red Copic color combination.
I had a lot of fun embracing the "messy" coloring!
I finished my card with the same technique. Although, I apologize that I missed snapping pictures of each of the last colors. I really thought I took them... :)
Next, I coated basically every bit I colored with Wink of Stella to give it a nice sparkly shimmer. (Pay no attention to that red twine. I pulled it off right after!)
Here's an up close of it all filled in and sparkly!
I added a sentiment from another Essentials by Ellen stamp set, this time Autumn Acorns.
Then I trimmed it down and popped it up on some dimensional foam. To finish the entire project off, I added strips of Little B decorative washi tape to the top and bottom of my card front.
Sparkly heart of thankful Christmas cheer.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas to you and have a wonderful day!
