Hello! I just got some of the new Chickaniddy "Goldie Loxs" Gold Foil paper and it completely inspired this card.
It's hard to photograph but it is GORGEOUS in person.
I started with a gold embossed sentiment and feather, both are from Paper Smooches.
Then I masked the feather.
By masking the feather, I was able to stamp a second feather but get the illusion of one in front of the other.
Then, I masked both of my feathers so I could add color behind them.
I used my Distress Inks Worn Lipstick color to create the pink color behind them.
However, one of the masks came off while I was coloring the background so the white feathers I had envisioned went out the window. I decided to go with it and colored in the semi pink feather with a darker pink.
I colored it in with one of my favorite Copic pink shades ever!
Next, I added Glossy Accents to the top of the feathers.
I used the Glossy Accents to accent with gold glitter.
I covered both feathers with my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush. Then, I took my water brush to create a coordinating ink splatter and a few drops of water to create the larger drops.
I used my new Studio Calico Gold enamel dots to accent the feathers.
I adhered my gold foil paper to my card base and then adhered the feather card front to that at an angle.
Then, I simply trimmed the overhang to get back to a traditional A2 card size.
Here it is up close!
Thanks for stopping by and sharing part of your day with me! Have a great day!
