This fun twist on the inset die cutting technique always makes folks wonder how it was done--it takes a few extra minutes, but it's easy and I think the end result is worth the effect. :)
Your secret weapon is tape and lightweight paper, like copy paper! I used washi tape, but you could use any kind of tape, as it will be concealed on the back side.
As I mention in the video, cover the copy paper completely with adhesive (so none of the colored card stock pieces fall off the negative after die cutting), and butt your colored pieces of card stock tightly to each other when gluing them down to the copy paper. Don't overlap the edges, otherwise a low profile die such as this one won't be able to cut through all those layers.
