Welcome to the CLASSroom. One of my favorite ways to accentuate the focal point of a project is to use a frame. For my project today I used the Marianne Designs Oval Frame and Anja’s Border paired with the Impression Obsession Watering Can, Tulip Set, Leaves and Stems and Memory Box Butterfly Delights.
Cut three different colors of tulips and color the stems with a green marker.
Lay the tulip face down on the molding pad and lightly form with the stylus.
Cut several sets of stems and form them using the stylus and molding pad.
Apply glossy accents to the front of the stem and push through the opening of the watering can and attach to the back of the can. Repeat this step until you have filled the opening.
Extend the length of a few stems by attaching to a thin strip of cardstock. This extension will allow you to create more height to the arrangement.
Apply glossy accents to the tulip stems and insert in to the foliage stems to create the bouquet.
Add height to a few of the tulips by attaching to a thin strip of cardstock like was done with the foliage stem.
Lay the cardstock down on the magnetic platform, place the border die over it and cut.
Apply thin strips of mounting tape to the back of the of the border cut layer and attach to the card base.
Cut frame and hand cut a piece of white cardstock to be the base of the frame. Attach thin strips of cardstock to the back of the frame and attach to the base. Apply ATG adhesive to the back frame base and attach to the border card base.
Attach mounting tape to the back of the watering can and attach to the frame base.
Attach a few butterflies to the the frame and bouquet.
I love the contrast of the turquoise and white and think the clean and simple background allows the watering can full of tulips to really shine.
Have you checked out the Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock selection? It is gorgeous heavy paper and the colors I used today have been my favorite combination for spring floral projects.
Thanks for coming by the CLASSroom and I hope you have a great day.
