You'll see two versions of the above card in today's webisode... I'm one of those unfortunate souls who sometimes makes something and when she gets to the finish, for some reason, no likey. Even after walking away and letting it sit.
So while the video shows the process, the card pictured is what I made after some internal artistic wrestling. Yes, this sort of stuff keeps me awake at night. Why, I know not. Because ultimately, the original was just fine as it was. Truly. *gob smacks self*
Anyway, today I'm using a technique for watercoloring on kraft card stock, and it works pretty slick! Laying down a "primer" of white pigment reinker (or gesso), and allowing it to dry thoroughly will enable you to watercolor over the top!
