Back in the day (bah ha haaaa!), we had to measure, cut and score all the pieces and parts for one of these "Never-ending Cards" but now Inky Antics has come out with a [Never-ending Card] die that does all that work for you! SWEET!!!
Sidebar: They also have a "Square Cage" die, which is based on an original vintage interactive card. I made one by hand (again, back in the day), and never made another because it took soooo long to do all the cutting, and you had to be very precise. With the die, you can bust these out by the dozens, without breakin' a sweat! Niiiiice!!!
The resulting card is also more compact in size! YAY!!! It fits inside a 3" square envelope, which you can easily make with the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board (If you don't have that thing yet, I dunno what yer waitin' fer--it's one heckuva snazzy tool!)
Just keep folding, opening and repeating--it truly never ends, LOL!
The other awesome thing about this particular interactive card, is that the base uses plain old photo-copy paper! The weight is deal for creating the folds on this smaller scale card and reduces a lot of the bulk you would otherwise have.
I didn't happen use any of the decorative elements included on this die--they can easily be cut with card stock and used to embellish the card as you wish. On the packaging there are step-out pics that show the assembly of the mechanism, but of course, seeing it in action is what makes this particular card so much fun, which is why we've got a video here for it!
I LOVE coffee (severe understatement), and when we added the Taylored Expressions line to the shop, the Joe To Go set had to come live at my house immediately--I mean seriously, the set is so adorable and the coordinating dies are included--EEP!!! Come to mama!!!
