Oh gosh, I am really excited for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Feminine doesn't really come naturally to me so it was fun to stretch myself. Fun & cute, whimsical - that stuff comes easy to me... this I had to think about. I loved the process!
To create my tag, I actually used a 3"x4" journaling card die and simply punched a hole in it.
First I stamped a background pattern on white cardstock to give it a very slight background. To know where I'd be stamping, I lightly traced around the die in pencil.
I used the new Wplus9 Merry & Bright stamp set. I have been loving all of the new releases with two and three step stamps that allow for multiple colors in one stamped image. First I stamped the lighter color.
Once that was dry, I stamped the darker color right on top of the lighter color. The stamps are designed so they line up very easily.
Then I went in and added the leaves.
I stamped the inside of the flowers in gold ink to give them some shimmer.
With everything stamped, I was able to die cut my tag shape. I simply lined the tag up with my pencil lines.
Then I punched a hole in the top of my journaling card to create my tag. I also added a hole circle from another tag die set.
Very pretty and elegant, just what I was going for! Thank you so much for joining me in the CLASSroom today for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. Have a great day! -Heather
