Today I have the absolute joy of sharing Claudine Hellmuth's whimsical collage tag with you! Four years ago I had the pleasure of being introduced to Claudine and having dinner with her and some friends. Her vivacious spirit and warmth are two of the things I treasure most about her. These traits are evident in every product that she creates! Claudine Hellmuth stamps, paints and embroidery kits have "cheerful" written all over them - they just make me smile from ear to ear!
Claudine also designs THE best printable kits - they bring me back to my days as a child when I would cut out and cloth paper dolls. The hours of joy you will receive from cutting and putting together these little treasures will bring back happy moments from your childhood, or even better provide a gift to a child you know by allowing them the joy of working on these kits!
I have to share this adorable free printable tree with you - I encourage you to give it a try or share it with your child or grandchildren!
You can find more of Claudine's quirky, retro style on each of the projects she shares on her blog Claudine Hellmuth. Psst - I have a little secret - if you head over there now she is giving away one of her fabulous stamp sets, so don't delay visiting her blog!!!
Thank you Claudine for sharing your creativity with us here in the CLASSroom and even more importantly - thank you for sharing your sweet spirit and friendship with me! -Ellen
The completed whimsical and quirky retro-inspired Christmas tag!
Paint a tag using Claudine Hellmuth Studio Painterly Pink. Squeeze the paint directly onto the tag
Then brush out paint using a brush (Claudine Hellmuth studio brushes)
Glue music paper to the bottom 2/3 of your tag using Multi Medium
Now we are going to stamp some images using the Claudine Hellmuth Studio Christmas stamp set by Stamper Anonymous
Stamp the car using black Ranger archival ink onto red scrapbook paper.
Stamp the little tree onto decorative green paper also using Archival ink
Cut out both the car and the tree. Cut off the presents from the roof of the car and cut the tree in ½ so it looks like it could be riding on the roof of the car.
Glue both to the tag using Multi Medium
Glue on a decorative strip of scrapbook paper using multi medium
Stamp a frame and the words “so merry” from the Words and Frames Stamp set
Cut out and glue to your tag, then dry with the Heat It Craft tool to speed drying
As a finishing touch you can add snow by making tiny dimensional dots using the tip of the Claudine Hellmuth Studio mini paints in Blank Canvas.
Add extra trim to the bottom of your tag. Enjoy!!
