Welcome to the CLASSroom today! Do you ever need a quick hostess, anniversary, house warming, holiday or birthday gift and opt for the traditional bottle of wine? Or maybe even a flavor-infused bottle of olive oil for for the culinary inclined? Then I have a nice gift tag option for you today, using a faux dry embossing technique!

To make the process easy, I started with a standard #8 shipping tag -- Tim Holtz’s new kraft tag -- I'm loving these! Next, die cut or punch a 1-3/8” to 1-1/2” circle in the top of the tag (over and removing the tag’s reinforced hole).
Then I scored underneath the die cut hole, about 2 inches from the top of the tag:
Next, I die cut several leaves using Tim Holtz’s Tattered Leaves and Memory Box’s Maple Leaf dies out of the same kraft tag and adhered them to my tag. Trim off any shapes that hang over the edge of the tag:
You could then just leave the leaves as is and use them as a background for any kind of project or card, or to make them stand out a little, you could sponge some Distress Ink around the edges of the leaves, to help highlight them a bit:
Or I opted to sponge Versamark Champagne Dazzle ink over my leaves, to give them an elegant sparkle:
Next, I stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Memory Box Concord Grape cardstock and cut it into a banner shape. I secured the sentiment to the tag with a Hinge Clip tied with lilac twine. To add a little more color to my tag, I backed it with more Concord Grape cardstock and die cut the lower edge with Tim Holtz's On The Edge-Scalloped die.
