It finally feels like springtime --- YEAH!!! Springtime brings summer weddings and tomorrow I have the honor of attending my niece-to-be's bridal shower. I wanted to create a special card for her. Melissa Frances has the most beautiful wedding inspired sticker collection called Dearly Beloved. The minute I saw it, I knew that it would be perfect with the gorgeous gray Jill has selected for their wedding.

I was feeling that this style was a little outside "my box" but I am absolutely thrilled with the final result. As I stated it started with the bride and the color gray.
I used the coordinating 5th Avenue 6x6 papers as the background.
What could be more perfect for a wedding look than loads of lace? My plan was to play the silky, smooth feeling of the silk and satin, against the matte, cottony texture of the crochet trims. The result is really quite lovely! This would also be a wonderful way to use up those little bits of ribbon ends!
Use Fabritac to apply a single line of adhesive for each piece of ribbon and/or lace. Snip the ends even with the edge of the card and apply Fray Check to the edges. Allow to dry.
To create the focal point I used Tim's Styled Label to cut a shaped piece of Craft-a-Board and applied Pearl Dabber to the surface. The sticker was popped up using 3D Dots and I felt THE perfect embellishment is the new Antique Silver Display Trim Corners. These corners come with adhesive already applied and are simple to attach to cards, display trays, scrapbook pages and so much more. LOVE the new studs as well, but had to slap my hands and go with the less is more attitude because it really felt that less was more! :-D
