There is no day more special in one's life than when a child is welcomed in to a family. The love that children provide and bring to our lives is magical. These little blessings come in so many ways! A wonderful ritual that family's who bring their special little people and babies in to their lives through adoption, is to celebrate that extraordinary arrival day. Filling that special family day with hugs, love and fun can be so wonderful.
I am so very honored and blessed to have a very dear friend who brings such joy and happiness to those she knows. Susan Tierney Cockburn created this exceptional treasure for a special little girl who brings so much joy to her life, and I have had the honor of taking a picture of this treasure and sharing it with you.
I love absolutely EVERY detail of this beautiful, celebratory cake - the magic of the little girl and the frog sitting amongst the flowers atop this cake, the date, the springtime papers...
You can see the love that Susan shares as she creates these pieces and I want to assure you that you CAN create these beautiful flowers as well! The directions that Susan has shared in the books she has authored (Paper Garden and Paper Bouquet) are precise and easy to follow. We are currently working to put together a more informative website as we acquire the different punches and tools that Susan has been instrumental in designing for this craft.
Susan's Garden started many years ago in the dead of winter, I cannot tell you how much these beautiful blooms cheer me as the gray winter passes. Paper flowers were brought to life by one of the kindest and most honorable women I know. Keep checking back to our store as we continue to put together pictures and a plan that makes it easier for you to recreate these magical blooms and spread the magic Susan creates with others.
