It's easy to print your sentiment onto a smaller piece of paper when you simply don't have an 8 1/2 x 11 piece. Print text onto printer paper.
and use a tape gun to adhere the paper over he printed sentiment. This will work for even the thinnest sentiments as well. Re-positionable tape is best but not necessary.
print the sentiment once again and it appears onto your small 6 x 6 page
send the sentiment and a blue patterned paper through the die cutting machine at the same time and add the blue paper along the left side of the main sentiment shape.
machine sew it with a zig zag stitch onto a peach patterned paper.
Use a cupcake punch to create the grad cap.
trim off the curves in the "frosting"
trace the pointing top onto the back of black card stock and cut a diamond shape, to b placed on top of the cap base. Pop up diamond with a dimensional square
cut 6 strips of floss to create a tassel.
tie a knot in the center with a separate string
wrap one side of the string around and tie a knot.
pull tight and cut off excess string, fun, right?
poke a hole in the top of the cap with scissors because a paper piercer hole won't be big enough
push the string through the hole and attach to the backside of the cap.
add brad to the hole...done :)
send the card front through the die cutting machine, gicing it a little more design elements.
mat onto striped paper, then purple, then black. Complete with a black crystal flourish to help the eye see movement of the tossed cap.
play around with school colors and possibly include a gift card holder inside. Grad cards don't need to be so scary, especially if you have a cupcake punch a brad and some string.
