Lately I am trying to make the most of my supplies, but find that it's best to really take a close look at my products to see if they have multiple uses. I found that the negative from a die cut sheet makes a nice little window frame.
Supplies:
Stamper's Anon: Studio 490, Art Rules, Studio 490, Well Worn Art, Studio 490, Art from the Heart
Graphic 45: Botanicabella, Tags, Botanicabella, Dragonfly Duet, Botanicabella, Eden's Symphony, Domestic Goddess 12x12 Paper Pad
Basic Grey Opaline Half Pearls, Indigo/Sky
Maya Road: Clocks, Black and White
Adirondack Dye Ink Pad, Espresso
start with a card base and adhere all papers
After removing the die cut tag (of course it's best if you make use of it), place it on the back of your card cover and trace.
Once you cut the decorative shape out, you will be left with a cute window.
Next, go back to that die cut sheet and cut the "frame" from the main piece. Adhere it on the front of the window.
Apply some ink to age/distress the papers.
add a fun stamped border along the bottom. The rubber is such great quality that I don't use a block, I just ink it up and press on the back with my fingers. I tend to feel more control stamping like this at times.
finish off the inside with the musical paper and stamp flowers in the corner
stamp 2 accent flowers onto the red gingham paper and stamp the flower once again onto the lighter pink paper. Cut them all out...but only use the conter of the lighter pink paper
Wrap twine around the window and tie a bow. Embellish the stamped flower border with dark pearls.
Complete the card by adding Glossy Accents to the flower center and allow to dry
How about creating the same card but for that man in your life? Just use the design above, change the colors and accent a bit and voila, it's all sort of masculine. Keep this in mind when creating any card...start with a card you love and change it up to accommodate a chid's birthday, sympathy or friend maybe?
