Chipboard stickers are very cool...at least I think so :) So I was inspired to make some of my own.
Supplies:
Karen Lockhart: IB Radishes, IB Carrots, IB Peas
Cosmo Cricket: Cosmo Cricket 6" Mini Deck Paper Pad, The Boyfriend, Cosmo Cricket Ribbon, The Boyfriend, Cosmo Cricket 6" Mini Deck Paper Pad, Material Girl, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type Stickers, Black
COPIC Sketch Marker YR24, Pale Sepia, COPIC Sketch Marker G28, Ocean Green, COPIC Sketch Marker YG63, Pea Green, COPIC Sketch Marker R27, Cadmium Red
Here is my inspiration:
I started with 3 of Karen Lockhart's tiny garden images and stamped on Craft-a-Board that I used to take the place of chipboard...being white is a bonus!
I colored each image with a Copic marker. Nothing is blended since most stickers are a solid color.
I then cut closely around each image since it's more difficult to navigate the scissors around the heavy duty specialty paper.
Keep your scissors steady while turning the image in your other hand. Keep a visual edge around each image. These images are easy to stamp and color if you need to try again.
add a thin layer of crystal effects over each image and allow to dry.
Design a card base and add some more Craft-a-Board under the green paper strip to help tie in the colors. I added ribbon to each tag but changed them up at add interest. Adding a machine stitch helps to give this card a little more character
I completed the tags with the custom chipboard "stickers" and some sentiment letter stickers.
If you are not comfortable with using scissors, you can try a cutting blade with a glass mat. Just cut slowly and precisely. Thank you for stopping by :)
